After about four days of work, my Hamer Cruisebass is finished.
He has been waxed and polished to a mirror finish, chrome cleaned up and now looks like a respectable gentleman.
I'm looking forward to playing him since he now has Basslines SPB-3 pickups and Rotosound flat wounds equipped.

Repainting my Hamer: Day One
Yesterday began the sanding and stripping of the paint on my Hamer so it can be refinished into a respectable gentleman.
Today, my Dad primed it while I was at work. Which means he'll be done before I know it.
I am off to get pick ups for him, and now that I have my internet I can update about more things then just this refinishing.
For some reason I liked the way it looked as it was being sanded down. Almost looks like a sunburst but with a slight pretty/ugly thing going on. I did most of the sanding myself, and it got done eventually.

Let the journey begin!
Today I started refinishing my 1983 Hamer Cruisebass, and it needed it.
Large chips of paint missing and hairline cracks in the paint bothered me enough to want to repaint him its original black. New pick ups will be needed as well too, since after taking every thing apart it was apparent that the P bass pick ups were the original stock pick ups from 1983! Yeah, that needs a pick me up.
As for which pick ups it should be, I'm a bit torn between DiMarzio Will Power middle pick ups, or Seymour Duncan SPB-3. Decisions, decisions. As the job goes on I'll have to decide.
